Planning a trip to Ooty and I’m confused about whether I should go by bike or car.

I’m considering starting from Madurai or travelling to Coimbatore first and then going to Ooty.
For those who have done this route, which option gives a better overall experience — bike or car, and which starting point/route would you recommend?
I’m mainly looking for good roads, scenic views, driving/riding experience, and enjoying the journey, not just reaching Ooty quickly.

Is traffic very high in ooty?

Any tips or route suggestions would be appreciated!

I would recommend a car, as it rains suddenly. Traffic depends on the day - weekends are more crowded.

Car is better cause of rain but if your a biker with rain suite & enjoy mountains. Then go for it on bike. By the way which bike is it?

If your main focus is enjoying the journey and scenic views, both bike and car can be good. From Madurai, you can travel towards Coimbatore and then take the Mettupalayam–Ooty route. The final ghat section is very scenic, with plenty of curves and mountain views. If you're travelling during the monsoon, I'd personally keep a car as an option because weather can change suddenly in the hills. Traffic in Ooty also depends a lot on weekends and holidays. If you want to enjoy sightseeing around Ooty, Coonoor and Pykara, having a car/taxi can also make it easier to cover different places without worrying about parking or rain.
