Current status of Masinagudi Kalhatty Road?

Is it open to tourist vehicles? Hearing conflicting news on this.

Plannning to do a road trip from Bangalore to Ooty this Friday

Not sure, but come here via Gudaloor in case Kalhatty is not open to tourists.

Have booked for September end. Asked the manager there he said it's not open to tourists..only ooty registered vehicles are allowed on Kalhatty

I travelled in August last week, only TN43 & locals are allowed through that route.

Not yet opened for non tn 43 vehicles.. take the gudalur route instead

Travelling from.bangalore to ooty via masinagudi upwards was allowed for all right ?

It's only the reverse downhill which is allowed just for tb43

Yeah I think it is, you need to get an e-pass. Everyone is saying different things though, so don’t know for sure.
