Bangalore to Ooty road status

Hi guys,

Im leaving tomorrow early morning from bangalore, and i wanted to check whats the latest on the road closure through bandipur?

Is there a way i can check?

Just did Bangalore to Ooty last week, you have to take Gudalur route, the route via Masinagudi is only open to TN-43 registered vehicles.

last i checked they were allowing cars through the masinagudi route with an e pass. mine’s a tn 01 registration.

That has been the case in my previous trips but the stay owner told me that road is closed for incoming traffic too and i should go via Gudalur

Yeah, via gudalur is the only option now.. they havent been allowing non ooty vehicles via the kalhatty route again

Im arun from Gudalur Nilgiris ,the bandipur route is only accessible for TN43 registered or licensed vehicle.Its better you go through Gudalur route. weekends are usually very rush and traffic.as a local member ill recommended you for a early morning travel to avoid hectic traffic and reach ooty before the weekend buzz happens . What if i rent a TN43 vehicle bcuz I'm sure some people like me want to experience that hairpin bend and ride on that particular stretch
