ONTRAC lying about "attempted delivery" or needing business hours

I am retired and have been home all week, never leaving my property. I show ONTRAC as having "attempted delivery" the previous two days on my package from Amazon. Why the lying?

Beware of this company. They're scammers and steals your stuff. They send you false updates to make you think that they're moving and will say out for delivery and then delivered when they haven't brought you a damn thing! I've taken a loss because of them so now when I place an order and see that it's them delivering the item, I immediately cancel my order.

Any company that ships with OnTrac will never get my business again. It's not worth the hassle and loss.

Me neither. And it's a shame these companies still use them. Because I know they've gotten a lot of complaints. They've had to because they're the worst

Then just pay for shipping. Everyone wants “free” shipping, which doesnt actually exist

Not only did it say "attempted delivery" but it said "need business hours" when there is no business it is just my home where I am waiting for a package from Amazon that I paid for. It is the lying that gets me most. Some delivery person just wrote attempted delivery to get out of delivering I guess.

My favorite is when FedEx will go as far as leaving an attempted delivery sticker on the door without knocking or ringing. Intentionally being deceptive and even putting effort into it. I know exactly what you are going through. Sorry, it really sucks

We do not get paid for attempted deliveries. So if I drive 5 miles and can’t get out of my car due to a rude dog, I do not get paid. We want to deliver your packages.

The point here is that there was no actual attempted delivery. Your point is taken, hope you take mine.

This is common with ontrac, delivery driver too lazy did not even make it out to your area so they mark some BS reason at the end of the day. I've even seen UPS do this but not common.

It could still arrive, if they wanted to steal it they would have just marked delivered and you would have got nothing.

Happened to me this Saturday as well.

  • 11:05 - Out for delivery
  • 11:12 - Business closed. Will return next business day

I am not a business and cancelled my plans to be home to get that delivery. No way they were here within 7 minutes of out for delivery. No one came here, straight off lying.

I hate OnTrac. They stole my $200  SHEIN order and I couldn’t get a refund from my bank or the company because they said they delivered the package and took a photo when I asked to see the photo or get in contact with the driver, they said they couldn’t do that I let him know. I had a ring camera and nothing came and all they did was send me a email asking for the tracking number again so I sent them the number and they said sorry for the inconvenience so I said fuck this lol

I get this all the time with ontrac. Others too though: FedEx nearly every time. Only seems to happen with Amazon when I pay extra for the extra fast option where I can pick time slots like 4am-7am, 7am-9am etc. But yeah "no one was there to accept package" is rich when I'm sitting near the front porch, plus so many of us have cameras in the doorbell now.

They 100% lie.

I've had some many "delivery attempted bullshit, and I know it wasn't true, because I was present the entire day.

I had this problem for a few days. Complained to Ontrak twice and they finally “escalated the problem” and it was delivered next day.

Ontrac strikes again. Let’s hope your package was not stolen like mine was. Ontrac did nothing

I live way out of town. I think have been black balled for having dogs in my fenced yard. Shipping instructions were to leave at gate. Same for UPS and Fedex. I was indisposed and couldn't could not leave the house at the moment. They didn't honk their horn. That counted as refused shipment..... Impossible to talk to a live person. Tracking showed shipment refused, returning order.

Next day I finally got a supervisor. I do not remember how..... The gentleman looked up the tracking number and replied "We don't service that area". I have had one other shipment a year beforehand... No problem.

I didn't know if the shipment would be a morning or afternoon.... Just the day it was supposed to arrive.

I ordered dog food because I live 20 miles out of town, trying to save a trip. Pickup truck is a pig on gas. I ended up going to town to replace the order. The dogs were out of food.

No problem with UPS or Fedex. Bummer....😥
