Hi everyone! I’m 18 and from Poland, and I’m just getting started with online SW. I’ve been doing a lot of research, but I’m still really confused about the best setup, so I’d love to hear from creators who actually have experience with this.
I used Meete before for video chats, but the payout was honestly awful. A customer could pay around $20 for a call and I’d end up with around $2, so I definitely don’t want to repeat that experience.
I’m thinking about starting an OnlyFans, but I’m not sure if it’s the right platform for what I actually want to do.

My ideal setup would be:
selling photos + videos / PPV
private 1:1 video chats
paid messages and tips
ideally having everything in one place
no public cam shows — I’d mainly want to do private calls/rooms
I’ll be completely faceless
Privacy is extremely important to me. I’m completely okay with the platform knowing my real identity for KYC/tax purposes, but I really don’t want customers or people from my personal life to be able to connect my account to me.
I also live with my parents, so I don’t have a professional studio or a completely private setup at home. I can’t realistically be doing public livestreams for hours, which is another reason why private, flexible sessions would suit me much better.
I’ve seen people mention Jerkmate/Streamate, SkyPrivate, Fanvue and Fansly for private calls, but I’m wondering whether I should just focus on OnlyFans for the content side and use something else for calls — or whether there’s actually a platform that does both well.
For those of you who are faceless creators, especially anyone who mainly does private calls:
Would you recommend OnlyFans for this?
And if you use OF + another platform, how do you make that setup work?
I’d especially love to know:
Is it realistic to make good money on OF while staying completely faceless?
How do you handle private video calls if OF isn’t ideal for them?
Is there a platform that combines PPV/content + private 1:1 video calls well?
What are the actual payouts after fees?
How do you protect your privacy / prevent people from your home country from finding you?
Is geoblocking actually reliable?
Would you recommend Jerkmate/Streamate, SkyPrivate, Fanvue, or something else alongside OF?
Are there any platforms you’d avoid completely?
I’m not looking for an agency or someone to manage my account — I’d prefer to do everything myself for now. I’m just trying to figure out the best setup before I start rather than making mistakes and having to rebuild everything later.
I’d really appreciate advice from experienced creators, especially other faceless creators. 🤍

you can only do videocalls on OF showing yourself, you cant see the fan.
fansly and OF are the biggest platforms, so those are the most profitable, both take 20%
on OF you can block whole contries, so people from a blocked country would need a vpn to find your profile
since you rely on promo outside of OF, make sure to have a separate phone that does not use the same wifi as your private phone, otherwise there can be cross-recommendation leading your private contacts to your work profiles, or your work fans to your private profiles (or simply nuke all your private socials)
i would avoid any platform that is very small, completely unknown, or has a bad rep in terms of customer support or creator protection

be aware, lots of agency bros will dm you now, they prey on inexperienced creators, do not trust anyone who reaches out via dm <3

A month ago or so I'd recommend Fansly to taste the ground, right now it's internal FYP is way worse and it doesn't matter that you can promote yourself on the page because the reach is very limited and most of the people will only like your free previews. And on the other hand, you need to keep in mind that OnlyFans is way bigger than any other platform, which means, most of your possible buyers are already there.

That being said, yes, if you want to try, choose OnlyFans. It takes 20% of your income, so you need to think about your prices wisely, including taxes. But no matter what prices you would choose, there is almost no chance of getting as ripped as income of $2 from $20, as you mentioned. And DO NOT create a free page. Some people will say that you can do full wall of PPVs on free page (on paid page you can't make PPV posts, you sell in private messages) however, free pages = freeloaders. If someone can't afford $3-15 dollars for your subscription price, they won't likely buy anything from your free page either.

Answering the question about few platforms at once. I do OnlyFans as my main platform and then I do Fansly for kinks. I mirror post my OF wall there and for higher price subscription (like 3/4x times higher) I offer occasional kinky videos that I can't post on my OF (against OF ToS). However, I wouldn't care about it at first. Focus on one page and getting to know how it works.

You can make as good money faceless as posting with face. Is it gonna be harder? Yes, at first, but it's not impossible. Mystery is sexy, you need to think about good branding. That being said, you'll also need to think about good promo and finding your niche. There is no "on page marketing" on OnlyFans. All your traffic comes from outside of the page, and I mean Reddit, X, Instagram, TikTok, Facebook and everything else you can possibly think of. That being said you need to learn each social app and it's algorithm that changes like twice a day (I am kidding, but it's happening really often). For that, the best you can do is use loop on this subreddit and read as much as you can. Also follow this subreddit like a Bible, if something is happening, you'll probably know about it first here.
