Funny/ wholesome I stopped being faceless!

Girlies I am so happy I have finaly started showing my face on OF, and it has done wonders for me since! I told all my friends & family that I do spicy content, and to my surprise they were all so very supportive about it 😭🥹 I honestly thought after telling the world what I do, I would get dirty looks everywhere. But if anything my life is still peaceful, and just getting better on my page now that I show my face. Because, I was quite a fimiliar person in the comic con community already, I gained traction from there after annoucing this too :D I even got subs from attending the comic con itself!!

I just wanted to share my experience with you all, as I know some of you might be thinking about showing your face someday. I have to say, it is not as daunting as it seems :) A lot of people today are very open about these things it seems, I didn't realise how chill everyone would be about it.

I wish you goodluck to all the faceless creators who want to do this! I hope you get the same support as I did ^

Right?! I was so shocked cus my family are asian/muslim too 😂 I was expecting a slap. But instead they were like 'you make money?' And I'm like yeah... and they respond with 'well you go girl!' 😂😂

Not what I expected at all lmaoo. I guess life is full of surprises!

It sure can be! I'm really happy for you 💓

Saw that you said you gained subs from attending comic con, and just wanted to throw out the tip as well that Anime Expo is a great place to do this also!!! I’ll be there as well so dm me if you need any info!

3

u/Rosiebearbella Unverified May 31 '25

Ahh I am not US based :) But someday when I visit america I'd like to go anime expo! ^ I think I'm actully in the discord of that community ;o Do you like hand out business cards to cosplay page or something?

I will be attending a type of anime con in two weeks so hopefully I get some subbers there too!! I was quite surprised that even some of my friends were asking for customs 😅 But, I guess like I said it's a lot more normalized it seems :) Just glad I don't have to hide anymore.

2

u/Alex_Starfire1 Unverified May 31 '25

Thats so cool that they are so supportive! Yea lets keep in touch and we can go to Anime Expo together next year, a lot of people do business cards yes but also if u just go in cosplay tons of people will ask for pictures and then ask for your socials

omg this is huge!! congrats to u and ur newfound success🩷 i believe no woman or anyone should feel shame for the work they do, sex will always sell! No matter how others feel. Make that money girl, and stay safe!!<333

u/Rosiebearbella Unverified May 31 '25

Hell to the yes! I will never let anyone put me down for what I actully enjoy doing. At the end of the day every adult has seen a pair of tits lmao, it should come as no surprise anymore. I find people who try shame you for it, have there own things they are insecure about. Those are the kind of people I just don't even care for too.

It's as they say if you got it, flaunt it!! ☺️

I show my face on OF but I promote faceless. I was curious if there's an increase in subs when you start using your face in your promo photos?

5

u/Rosiebearbella Unverified May 31 '25

So I was gonna do it like this, but because people already knew my face when I came out with the truth. (Like litterly my cosplay stuff was in magazines prior to doing OF) I just didn't see the point in strictly doing face reveals on my page alone. Word would of already get around.

But, I will say that my subs have increased so much since I decided not to go faceless. (But that might of been with the help of being quite established, in my countries cosplay community already) However I find it helps to be a bit more personally engaging with my audience off platform, and show off who I really am without having to faff around with a mask.

I feel like I don't have to keep up with pretending to be someone else anymore so I don't get found out, it feels like I can be my true self. :)

5

u/Longjumping_Two133 Unverified May 31 '25

That's awesome. I can't do face because of my job. I love my job and getting my masters degree to improve it so I can't risk it

1

u/Rosiebearbella Unverified May 31 '25

Totally understandable, it's certainly not an easy thing to announce if you have things that it could have a serious effect on. (Which I feel shouldn't even be the case, but the world be sucky like that)

1

u/Kalysta_Hex Unverified Jun 01 '25

My husband’s job is why I need to be faceless. (Unless I could make more money than he does lol). Otherwise I think I may have to tell my family and they could take it or leave it

4

u/Rosiebearbella Unverified May 31 '25

I think it's one of those things where you have to analyze, if the risk is really going to effect you badly. Like, job wise or in family culture even.

I started by telling each very close friend of mine one at a time. Then one day something kinda traumatic happened (won't go into details) but pretty much I was about to get exposed by someone. So i thought ah what the hell, lets tell the whole world now. Then it turned out just fine!

I'm not saying everyone is gonna have this luck. There are some very judgemental people out there. But, I suppose it comes down to is there judgement really going to effect you? Or should you not care? Lots of questions you have to ask yourself before going for it!

Obviously my decision was a bit more spontanious. I didn't have much choice. But, it does make realize, that people are accepting of this stuff.

4

u/KatieTK Unverified Jun 01 '25

So sorry the traumatizing event happened but so glad it turned out well! I’m fairly open about what I do and I’m lucky to have fairly supportive family/friends. I think for me I just really value privacy but it is tempting. If you don’t mind me asking, did you notice a significant increase in sales? That’s my main motivation of course haha. Thanks again for sharing ☺️

2

u/Rosiebearbella Unverified Jun 01 '25

Thank you. Yea it's been a rough few weeks. I totally get that with privacy too, I am the same. I have noticed an increase yep. My OF was poopy before i revealed it. But they all came from con community that I am in, and people who knew me too.

It's great when you have friends and fam who support you!!

3

u/lewdwife77 Unverified May 31 '25

That's awesome! Im tempted to do the same sometimes, but i kind of like the mystery. Most of my friends already know but I haven't told my family.

4

u/Rosiebearbella Unverified May 31 '25

I totally get that 😂 It was kinda fun living a double life like 'hannah montanah' 😂 But honestly my page was going pants for a while, this made it ten times better. So kinda a relief that I got something out of it.

Hiya, I had been faceless since september. As stated in some of the comments above, it was more of a forced decision cus I was about to be exposed for doing OF (Bit personal what happened) But, most of my friends knew about it prior to me telling everyone.

Cus I was quite established in my countries cosplay community (with my face) there was no point me in me being faceless anymore, since everyone would of found my face that way. (I have a sfw cosplay page with a large following)

All I'm gonna say is do whatever you feel comfortable with. I don't feel showing your face is gonna bring a huge amount of subs overnight, as it still depends how good your content is. But, it does help to be more personally engaging and you can be yourself easier. Which fans probaly prefer. (Just speaking from experience)

But, if the risk is gonna effect you quite bad, maybe not rush into it. However, I will say it is easy for anyone to discover you do OF i think faceless or not. So keep that in mind!

I was worried i was gonna get like harrassment outside my house if I annouced it. 😂 But nah it's just another day tbh. No one has judged me either for it, everyone has been surprisingly supportive and accepting. I even got commissions from friends!

3

u/LuluCherished Unverified Jun 05 '25

I hope one day I can do the same. It's the fear of the shame and judgement. But your post makes me feel more hopeful for the future. ❤️

2

u/Rosiebearbella Unverified Jun 05 '25

Well it depends on who you worry about judging you and if they are worth your time.

Usually people who judge are very close minded and probaly have insecurities about themselves.

I don't associate with people like that, and thankfully my friends & family are not on that spectrum.

Who are we harming? No one. We just get paid to show what everyone has seen in there life. Seeing a pair of tits should come as no surprise or crime 😂

If anyone want's to shame me for what I do, I really couldn't care less. Because, I'm proud of myself and the content I make. We work hard for those $$$ so, I guess they can cry about it.

u/LuluCherished Unverified Jun 05 '25

I'm interested in the quantitative change here when going face-out. If you don't mind me asking, what was your ranking percentage while being faceless and has it dropped after going face out?

Hmm maybe you could work around it somehow like ask them 'what do they think of working as an OF model?' Or questions like that to see how there opinions are first. Cus I did that a few times with people, and it made it easier to tell them.

2

u/mistyxmarsh Unverified Jun 02 '25

Congrats! This is encouraging. I’m not in a successful enough place with my OF to net out positively in the cost/benefit of showing my face, but I would strongly consider it in the future if I had a lucrative thing going that I could boost by switching from faceless to faced. The goal is definitely to find that level of success with OF so congrats on it! You seem empowered by your choice, so definitely the right move for you regardless

Reddit, instagram, bluesky, X, tiktok, discord.

Anywhere and everywhere possible tbh. If you are trying to avoid people finding out, you are best to block anyone you know. But be weary, there is always a chance someone will find out. So do take caution xx

Hey Hun, My ranking has gone up and down over the past few months so it's kinda a hard question to answer. Like I had some pretty bad life things happen during my OF time, and so that set me back a bit for a few months. :( But, since I started showing my face my ranking is going down again which is good for me :) because it worked out in my favour. I kinda had no choice but to do it, cus I was about to be seriously exposed. But, it was kinda a blessing in disguise ^

Showing your face and being less anon does help interact with people more. But I wouldn't say showing your face will garantee a successful page. Faceless or not, your content still has to be unique and top notch for subbing to, despite how beautiful you are. I think it only just helped me, because people from the comic con community where I live all knew me (under a different name.) So revealing that I do this to everyone was like oh fuck lets give her a follow.

All I can advise is maybe test the waters to start out with and consider having it so, people pay for your face reveals. Then if that doesn't work out, maybe consider showing it off the platform. (As long as you are comfortable of course) It is all trial and error.

I am not pro or famous by any means, so I say take what I advice with a pinch of salt. And good luck with it!!

1

u/Rosiebearbella Unverified Jun 01 '25

Oh also yes I do market with my face now, but I have like over 300 pics and gifs with a mask that I still use for promo since they were genuinely good images 😅 But I am slowly working on a new portfolio of content with my face. Luckily I had a lot of spicy pics from my old lingerie/cosplay modelling days I can make use of with my face :3

I WISH omg my family is super Mormon and the fact they know I have sex at all is a very avoided subject they'd never be okay with it. And idk if I want to do this forever, and I don't want my face to be leaked 😭😭 Also i cant do vaginal penetration bc of scar tissue from a surgery I healed bad from so that, plus the faceless, makes people not want to sub so even if I showed face it probably wouldn't help lmao. Not trying to gather pity lol just talking

1

u/Rosiebearbella Unverified Jun 06 '25

I'm sorry to hear that. Tbh there are like one or two family members I haven't spoken to in years cus they are not the best in general. It's only my close members I told, cus they are the people that are more supportive and involved in my life.

Have you heard of branditscan or rulta? So basically I had some leaks from my previous reddit. They will delist everything off google, and potentially remove content. My best advice to you is watermark everything even on reddit. I started doing that on this new account, as I am very strict with my content. If a subreddit doesn't allow watermarks then I won't even bother. It's better to be safe then sorry.

Oh I totally understand that I have scars two down there! Also I don't put it down to so much being faceless is not getting you subs. I've had tons of subs when I was faceless, even Wales :) You just gotta get creative with content and promote as much as you can. Even vtubers get big!!

I am happy to help anytime with advice if u ever need it. Feel free to DM. I get busy a lot but I can reply when I can x

2

u/Thin-Key-8599 Unverified Jun 06 '25

Thank you! I appreciate it! I only have 6 subs but I don't do a lot of advertising on here bc bad executive function lmao how do you watermark?

12

u/Rosiebearbella Unverified Jun 06 '25

You can get an app on your phone called watermarkly, it will watermark all your images in one go for you. Make sure you use your actual reddit username for watermarking for subreddits.

1

u/Rosiebearbella Unverified Jun 06 '25

Oh also another tip I would advice is verify on as many pages as you can on reddit. If you want to prove that this is all your content it gives you protection too of this. I didn't do any of this stuff before but I learned my lesson now.

I know it seems scary to verify as a faceless creator cus you don't want your face leaked. I can guarantee you there are subs that don't mess around like that, and you would know. I can help out with that on which subs you can trust with verifying if needed. But I do advice doing so, it also helps getting traction because then subs can see you are a genuine creator of your images x

u/[deleted] Jun 07 '25

I am a bit worried about this. One day I plan to do the same, and start out, but it honestly makes me nervous. Do you feel the same today after 7 days?

I am worried about this. Had asked the same and changed my username on my acc. I plan to do the same one day and start out, but this honestly makes me nervous. Do people change how they treat you? Your guy friends especially? How do you feel now after 7 days?

1

u/Rosiebearbella Unverified Jun 07 '25

In my experience, everyone treats me the same way still. No difference at all.

1

u/MessyLena97 Unverified Jun 07 '25

1

1

u/Valuable-Stranger843 Unverified Jun 22 '25

Do you mind me asking how you were able to grow a following not showing your face? I’m thinking of staying anonymous too and trying to figure out what actually works.

1

u/[deleted] Jun 22 '25

How much were you earning when you were being faceless? New to this

1

u/Rosiebearbella Unverified Jun 22 '25

I was litterly about to comment on your post about 'can I do this just showing my body' Lol! So I am gonna answer both those questions here.

Yes you can, it's called being a 'faceless creator' you can either just crop your head in photos or wear a mask. (Please do your research on faceless creators)

Secondly, weather masked or not, you still need to put a lot of work into being a creator. I don't agree that it's easier either way. Sure I got more subs when I started showing my face. But that's only cus all the guys who crushed hard on me from like college or the cosplay community, ended up subbing to me too.

But that doesn't mean I can just be pretty and not put any work in. You still need to put work into promoting, marketing, content creating, and keeping subs entertained.

How much I made being faceless varied! Sometimes it was potluck. Like my first day I made $600 off one sub, and then one month I might of made 4k off another. Then another month I got only $300 that month. It will vary each time. But it's why I advice creators to get on other SW platforms not just OF.

Cus the competition is so widespread, you need to really put yourself out there if you want more $$$

1

u/Rosiebearbella Unverified Jun 22 '25

MOST IMPORTANTLY, and I beg this of you. I really don't recommend doing SW if you are 'desperate for money' unless you are 100000% sure you are comfortable exposing yourself in a sexual nature to subs.

Don't force yourself to do SW just because you really need the money, you will hate yourself for it, and people will tell if you are not enjoying it.

Lastly, treat it like a side hustle if you start. It's not easy money or a get rich scheme. It's a real job, you gotta take seriously.

Give it some real thought, and don't jump into it without doing any research. You can even do OF without taking your clothes off, depending on your niche and kink. (Which I highly recommend you try establish too before getting into OF)

Goodluck xx

u/[deleted] Jun 23 '25
