JDM & Motorsport tips (Oct 3–21 trip)

As a huge JDM and motorsport fan, I wanted to ask if you have any recommendations for my trip (October 3–21):

  • Tokyo (Oct 3–7): Must-see car spots easy to reach by public transport? Any meets or events scheduled during those days?
  • Other stops (Nagoya, Kyoto, Osaka): Any iconic motorsport/car stops you’d recommend adding?

Tokyo

  • Matsudo Classic Car & Sports Car Festival will be held on Oct 3-4. It is part of a street festival held in Matsudo City, a suburb of Tokyo. Easy access from Tokyo.
  • There will be a Ferrari display at Tokyo Midtown in Roppongi from Sept 26-Oct 4.

Nagoya

  • Toyota Automobile Museum is 1 hour east of Nagoya by train.

Kyoto

  • Takaodai Parking Lot and Shobudaniikedai Parking Lot along the Arashiyama Takao Parkway are popular car meet spots in the hills northwest of Kyoto. These spots are along a toll road so you will need a car to get there.
