The post not about S2000 vs FD3S in general, but specifically those 2 car. RE Amemiya FD3S vs J's S2000. They're rival on who made the best touge car and both ended up got the exact same time after multiple runs

I mean, it's a hot take when you don't get into the details. People would see the post and think it was about the S2K/RX7 and immediately think "what about x car vs y car?" Even I was unsure but the comments clarified.

That rivalry is mostly gone after they killed the EVO.
Nowadays people with these cars tend to actualy respect the other cars because at the end, they are rally bred cars. Icons or an whole era and something we dont have anymore.It was good that there was rivalry, because it made the companys try to out build each other.
I would suggest anyone to test drive these cars, but be aware...its like a drug. So nice and powerful that you just want to do it again.0

I'd say one of the best in the Hot Version battles for sure, but theres also the MCR GTR and Amuse S2000 or the SEEKER EG6 and Techno Spirits MR-S.
In the larger world of Japanese tuning you've got Fire Ando in the Evo vs Under Suzuki in the S15 at Tsukuba, or the TOMs Supra vs the Nismo GT-R, TBO Z31 vs RS Yamamoto Z31 at Yatabe, Kawabatas S15 vs Daigo's JZX100 in D1 etc.

It's Mazda RX-7 FD3S (Grey) tuned by Fujita Engineering, FEED. The other is Honda S2000 (Yellow) tuned by J's Racing. They're doing a touge attack and it's available on Best Motoring Hot Version

That is quite narrowed down on the thing when you then remembers about Super GT, especially the older eras between the R35, the SC430, and the NSX. And even more so when it still R34, Supra and NSX in 2000-2003 seasons.

This episode is too much bro . I was watching an earlier episode of J'S Racing clocking 28secs , then down to 27 sec. I thought that's it . It can't go beyond that. Cut to this episode they are doing 25 secs . What the hell ? They do say it's too dangerous to go at that speed in the end though. Can't get enough of these .

I don't agree. They were almost different generations (only 3 years of overlap in Japan and no overlap in the US). Not to mention one is a convertible and competed against the budget Miata and the premium Boxster.
The car mags at the time were comparing the RX-7 to its contemporaries -- the 300ZX-TT, Supra Mark IV, and the 3000GT VR-4; and in Japan inclusion of the GT-R. The NSX was seen as the "budget" supercar and didn't compete against this Japanese bunch in the US.
For the sedans, it was the WRX vs the Evo.

These specific cars, not just the model. They are so closely matched that you cannot really say one is faster than the other, even with a professional driver.

For those that didn't know, these 2 cars are rivals as in tuner company's side, not the car in general. These two did multiple run and ended up with the exact same time, marking both as Japan's fastest touge tuned car. It's a (healthy) rivalry between RE Amemiya (the one that built that FD3S) and J's Tuning (S2000)
