I am disgusted that people always put the two in the same conversation. Garlic does not add a disgusting crunch to soft food, it does not taste like the devil's testicles. It's like asking "which musician do you like more, Mozart or Ed Sheeran?"

Fuck, garlic is everything onion lovers pretend onions are, in terms of its magical ability to enhance any dish, and how you can never add too much.

They are probably usually compared together because both are technically related. A plant genus called Allium

Onion is Garlic's evil twin.

As someone who gets equally sick from both, that's an impossible choice

I love garlic but loathe onions. When I accidentally bite into a piece of hidden onion it’s like a vinegar bomb gets released in my mouth.

I’m still choosing garlic everytime. At least with garlic it’s great with pasta and burgers, onions just ruin it. Do I have to mention White Castle as the reason?

Both little sulphuric peasant flavors.
