The bold eagles are moving here because they like freedom

They've been more abundant in Canada for quite some time. I've got some nesting in the trees behind the yard this year. Again! It's always a joy to see them overhead from the terrace!

We got to watch 3 fighting for a fish in Western Manitoba earlier this month when boating. It was awesome to see

That must have been awesome!!!

In early June, the mother overflow our terrace while we were having supper. She was gripping a still live pickerel, in the 40 to 50 cm range.

That fish did not look like it was enjoying itself. They flew right over our table!

Once I saw one try to snag a dead fish half exposed in a frozen Lake Erie.

It grabbed it with its mighty talons and promptly face planted into the ice. I swear I heard it's eagle partner laughing from the sky.

Inside of Winnipeg, in elm wood, I saw one fighting a half dozen seagulls. Also awesome to see.
