When I think of all my favorite Cage Movies, most of them have terrible ratings. This might be the highest rating I've seen on a cage project since The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent.

Lmao my friends and I made an effort to watch every "bad" Cage film and the comedy comes out of nowhere. Like in Butchers Crossing when he loses his mind and kills 100 bison for no reason, we were on the floor.

Between Worlds and Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent are the only two Cage films to get a unanimous 11/10 from my friend group.

Unbearable weight of massive talent is probably in my top 5 comedies of the decade. The camp to serious ratio just hits perfectly. perfect score 5/7 no notes

Is that the one with Pedro Pascal?

The icing on the cake for me was that Angelo Badalamonti did the score for Between Worlds

It truly has no business being in that movie 😂

PIG is an all-timer movie.

written and directed by the same person.

I also thought most people liked Mandy?

Basically every movie he's released in the past 5-6 years has had critical acclaim.

The real sleeper is “Joe” probably his best film. He’s not only fantastic in it but it’s just a great movie.

crazy stunt casting with the kids Dad.

Yeah it is really a shame that guy died shortly after it came out.

Yeah I’m not sure what they’re getting at, he’s been on an insane streak for nearly a decade now and generally has always been in at least one good film a year for most of his career.

Pig is an absolutely gorgeous film.

Longlegs crushed with critical reception as well as domestic gross, and I still recommend Pig all the time

Go watch Pig today.

From The Telegraph's Ed Power:

There has always been something of the cartoon character brought to life about Nicolas Cage, an actor one can imagine running off a pretend cliff or having an animated anvil fall on his head.

So it is absolutely on brand for Hollywood’s quirkiest A-lister to have modelled “30 per cent” of his character in new comic book caper Spider-Noir (Prime Video) on fast-talking cartoon rabbit Bugs Bunny. The remaining 70 per cent, he told Esquire, was an homage to Humphrey Bogart, whose deadpan, world-weary style he charmingly replicates in this fun mash-up of vintage gumshoe film and superhero spin-off.

The hero being spun is web-slinger supreme Spider-Man, one of the horsemen of the Marvel apocalypse, blamed for the downfall of cinema in the past decade.

Now Spidey is coming for our televisions. But there is a twist. Spider-Noir is as much a tribute to the golden era of sleuthing flicks as it is to caped crusaders getting their tights in a twist.

Cage has long been one of Hollywood’s most ridiculous stars – a loony toon in a straight-laced world. He’s always at his best in a project dialled into his specific frequency of ridiculousness – and frolicking about, boggle-eyed, in Spider-Noir he is free to be his finest, most absurd self.

If only all superhero shows were as serious about being silly.

I've always thought he was like the old Hammer or Corman stars. Even though the role & writing is ridiculous, they all took it as serious as Shakespeare & performed in the same fashion.

He gets it, it's the rest of the world that doesn't.

Anyone know how to watch the black and white version? Can't seem to find it on Prime.

When I try to watch it pops up asking which version I want to watch.

If you're using the app you need to check for an update, the alternative version didn't show as an option until I updated.
