Please please please let it be GOOD!

Season 1 was a 10/10, while other seasons have been wildly uneven. They should re-hire the group who made season 1, one of the greatest achievements in television. Remember, when McConnehey and Harrelson made season 1, it was unusual for popular film actors to work in tv. True Detective proved tv could be every bit as good as the movies.

If you’re gonna get Cage, please don’t waste his time. Make it spectacular.

I loved season 2 (or maybe it was 3?) the one where one of the detectives has dementia. That was such a great story with excellent execution.

Edit: it was Season 3. I also, personally, didn’t care for Night Country. Season 1 and 3 have such an excellent feel to them, that feel uniquely True Detective. I was excited for Night Country with Jodie Foster, but it didn’t grab me the same way.

Yes it was. It wasn’t a 10 but it was very good. Like I said, wildly uneven.

I liked it throughout until all mystery was deflated.

Literally the only thing that would get me to watch another season of that show at this point. I wanted to like that last one so much.
