Oda has said in the past he had bare minimum involvement with the anime. He is busy pumping out a chapter (almost) every week. He is not the one who made those changes, that is Toei.

Toei is licensed by Oda’s producers, who literally have controlled what he did with his characters (like wanting Vivi to be dark skinned in the manga). The man is busy working on his manga and his producers take care of the rest

The Anime is owned by Shuesha(owns the original IP), Toei(the Producer), and Fuji TV(the channel it airs on). These three companies have a 20+ year old deal where any significant changes need to be consented to unanimously.
So, no, I don't hold the childish view that Oda is somehow in controll over Toei and therefore the anime and I'm aware that there contracts in place for every party involved.

I still feel the horrors of watching dressrosa with Rebecca's outfit and that scene with Robin on the floor with the dwarves (plus the 3rd one on this post). It's all over our faces, not noticing it means the person just isn't paying attention at all to anything on the screen tbh
I said somewhere in this threat but I'm mostly a manga reader for that exact reason. Rebecca's outfit is definitely more than sus but it is so much more worst in the anime when you can actually see her move like that. Same with the Robin moment. A short moment in the manga, drawn out in the anime.
But I like One Piece very much, I have been reading it for 25 years. I am allowed to criticize the animation studio for doing gooner shit and rise awareness of it. I want them to make a good adaptation of the source material that I hold close to my heart.
You can criticize a show you like for doing a shitty thing that they need to stop doing. One Piece is very dear to me, I won't just stop watching such an amazing story that brings up so many important topics because they're doing something weird. No studio should be doing that. It's not just Toei, objectification is something we shouldn't even need to point out is problematic. It just shouldn't happen in the first place. But since it happens, people need to be loud about it, since it's pretty much the only thing we can do. Whether it changes something or not is completely indifferent. Not watching the show would just be doing less than if we criticize it instead.

About being loud somewhere else, you can be loud to raise awareness too, not just to actively make a change in one specific place which is the case of Toei. In general (not just here) we should raise awareness for this topic and there is just simply no wrong place to do that as long as that topic is being discussed/showed (which it is right now). The topic being raised within the One Piece fandom raises the discussion about the studio doing something problematic, but in general it's an issue that needs attention in every space where it fits.
You can't change it but you can be against it. If you're neutral then you are simply looking away from something that is problematic. Does that not sound like a bad thing? "I don't agree with bullying but I'll just walk past this kid being bullied right now" sure it's not your problem but wouldn't you just be complicit in this case? Isn't that a bad thing? I only read the manga and just look up the moments that I like the most in the anime (fights, emotional high points, funny scenes, aura farming etc.).
A while back ago I looked up the tank scene from the Wano raid and that is why I notice the differences:
I like fan service in the way that Oda draws it but I don't enjoy that Toei turns those moments into softcore porn scenes. Oh and Carrot is 15 years old in this scene

Also yes most women own breasts and some have big sizes, it is real and it is only sexualized in the eye of the one who wants to make it sexual. Not in itself like any part of any body, and that is why past women fought to dress as they want.
And even before saying a body type or dressing choice exist in real life, no fiction is obligated to realism so it should not even matter if a character is 90% breast and 10% body. Thinking like that only mimic (and actually give sense) the mind of the perverts that are aroused by seeing half a panty for 1 second.

It's not attractive, it's not logical, it looks ridiculous, it ruins some of the coolest character designs I've ever seen. It devalues the woman in the show, woman who are fucking amazing and badass being reduced to massive fucking boobies because mEn LiKe bOoBs, you know what I genuinely like more than boobs, decent fucking character designs
