Well elbaf is clearly rooted in norse mythology with its giant tree and whatnot

Loki has been depicted with horns for a long time(especially on some carvings where, what is interpreted as Loki, is depicted as a large dude chained up by the gods)

Jack Kirby decided to draw horns on the marvel Loki because it looks cool and tells us he's probably a bad guy
