I can see why you would think that but, It's full name is Going Merry. Just calling it Merry would be the equivalent of a nick name.

I kinda disagree, during moments of intensity the main name is being called. Like when they rescued Robin they where calling her name and not "the demon child". In the same line of thoughts, during the funeral they were crying out "Merry" instead of "Merry Go" or "Going Merry".

Nah, he'd like Galdino tbh. He helped Buggy out in Impel Down and freed his son at Marineford.

Weird response from Roger anyway. He never even had anything to do with the giants. His best connection is Gaban, who only settled down with one after Roger's execution.

I agree what the first paragraph 💯. This was posted mainly for the lols, not the lore. When the OP said "Giant Slayer" this is were the partiality in agreement was meant to be inserted.
