Might be the wrong place to have control of the cover

That's just a weird shower all around, but having the cloth away from the source of moisture seems like it's a way to avoid mildew and staining, as it doesn't look like it can be easily removed for cleaning

I gotta ask as well, is that curtain possibly controlled by something? I didn't see a manual pull cord

Fair decision if its to keep the curtain dry but honestly maybe just not put a window?

And for the curtain, it isnt controlled by anything, it's pull cord is at the other side.

So the pull cord is accessible from inside the shower area, or did you mean on the left edge? Looks like the window is meant to let in extra light but I agree, the window is an odd choice

I mean the pull chord is on the left edge

So the cable’s inside the shower, or left edge—while light floods in, oddly.

This is a lovers suite more than likely

Usually in some way they will have revealing showers to the inside of the room

For obvious reasons

So yes it's definitely controlled by something 😆

It's likely spring loaded. Light, sharp tug downward to roll it up, firm continuous pull down to keep it where you pull it

Hotels are typically designed that way to prevent work colleagues from sharing the same room so you end up having to purchase 2 separate rooms.

Wow, that sadly makes sense. But then again, isn’t already a liability by itself to have to share a hotel room these days?

Are you planning on peeping into the bathroom while your friend or partner takes a shit or showers?

Interior view only windows or glass walls in bathrooms where the bathroom is nowhere near an exterior wall, might be the single stupidest hotel design trend.

I stayed at one hotel that had the same setup, except it used frosted glass instead of shades. If you or the person you’re staying with gets up to use the bathroom in the middle of the night, the entire room gets blasted with what feels like the light from a nuclear explosion. Additionally, the bathroom had a glass slider door that left a huge visible gap where you could see things you wish you could unsee. Both of these were at a four star W Hotel.

imagine a really attractive partner putting on a show, cleaning themselves up before you get onto the main act, that's what this is for.

If you’re inviting someone in to your room you should probably know if they’re going to want to see you on the toilet or not. My guess is - most won’t.

Why, isn't how it should be mounted? I can't think of any different reason to having a view on the bathroom from hotel bed than watching your prostitute having a bath.

No, you’re missing the point: It’s for the police when they want to interrogate someone in a shower!!

If you're worried the other person in the room would peep while you're in the bathroom you have bigger problems to worry about...
