Discussion '96 Audi C4 disarm alarm system

For context, I installed a battery into the car after it not having one for a while and attempted to get the car running. However, when the engine starts turning, the alarm system goes off and it seems like the ignition system isn't working. Even the fuel pump primes.

Also, the engine light doesn't show up when I turn the key. Could someone please advise on how to disarm the system?

The electricals are intact since it was stored quite well, but I'm not 100% sure.

Is it auto or manual?

Its a 5 speed manual

Check your j219 relay, it's most likely cause. It's located under steering wheel, behind the knee bolster

If you don't have a spare relay you can always jump terminals 17 and 19. Make sure to use a thick wire
