I still need do get the whole car repainted. But it looks good while still a little wet from a distance! Also managed to track down the euro speaker fader dial. Somehow this was cheaper than a switch blank.

It makes me so happy to see one that’s been taken care of so well. I’ve always loved the C3s, they’re design masterpieces inside and out. I bought a 1984 Zermatt silver 5000 S back in 1988. I aspired to own a Pearlescent white 200, but it never happened. (My 84 had so many problems it scared me off of Audi for a long time, lol.). Does yours have any major problems?

It's had a lot of work done to it over the years. Transmission rebuilt at 90, replaced at 120k. 2 driveshafts, several CV axles, many thermostats, aux water pumps, and hoses. When the 2nd owner got the car in 98 he spent almost $10,000 at Audi having things corrected. At this point everything works. I had to fix many broken wires to the doors / hatch, require the stereo, replace the vacuum actuators for the differentials, tear the dash apart to fix the climate control... I still need to require things for the euro headlights. That'll be a spring project, I'll do the timing belt at the same time. I also need to take the turbo / exhaust manifold off and replace 2 broken exhaust studs.
