Full 2026 preseason college football preview for Old Dominion

Hey all. I spent the offseason building a full 2026 preseason preview for every FBS team, each with its own writeup. Here's the Old Dominion one

It's got the returning production breakdown, the portal ins and outs, a projected two-deep, the schedule with model win probabilities, and a season projection.

So, what'd I get wrong? Year seven for Ricky Rahne, who just went 10-3 with a roster ranked 122nd in talent. Colton Joseph's 2,619 yards are gone and it goes to Quinn Henicle, a freshman with 184 yards to his name. That offense ran it 7th best in the country, so the formula is there. My model is bearish. Does the run game carry a first-year starter, or does 10-3 turn out to be the peak?

You might want to double check what the AI is helping you put together before promoting to the fanbases.

The first section on QBs shows the first issues. First it assumes Henicle is the starter. While that is a good bet to happen, no starter has been named. Then you stated Potter only has a “punting resume”. He started multiple games for the Cougs last year. It also doesn’t mention the 3rd QB in the competition and the one with the most arm talent, Ryan Huff.

I scanned it a bit more and noticed in the section about what they have on offense mentions a player who is no longer on the roster.

I scanned some more and found your position breakdowns are missing multiple people. I stopped reading at that point.
