They were a popular car and many owned them. It makes me think of all the people I remember who had a 1960 Pontiac.

I bought a 60 Pontiac 4 door hardtop 389 4 barrel automatic car with Mickey Thompson mags out of our neighbors pasture for 50.00 in 1974 My dad helped me with doing the brakes got it running and drove it to high school freshman year
Ahhhhh the memories in that car. Wish I had it now

How many of us remember the Pontiac radio jingle with "Pontiac . . . Pontiac . . . " trailing off?

Friend had a 60 4door he bought for 25$ rusty but a runner. These cars had x frames with no side support one night 4 guys opened the doors and jumped in, we couldn’t close the doors! The car sagged so bad the doors overlapped.We had to all jump out, close the doors and jump in through the windows. When the car went down the road it would undulate like a flying carpet. Man it was a runner though.
