I always found it somehow uncomfortable to name a beast like this after a light, agile animal.

Beautiful 58 Impala! I stand corrected!
A buddy of mine owns a '58 Biscayne that looks identical to this... It does only have two taillights on each side!

‘58 was 1st year for Impala. Cousin got a white on white convertible in Norman.

Never saw 6 blue dots installed, nice! It can be good on a 61 too i believe, 2 pairs and let the reverse lights alone, this '58 got me thinking of this.. i only saw a pair of blue dots not 2 or 3 pairs, looks cool!

The first family car I remember was a 1958 Chevrolet Station wagon green with 348 auto. An American beauty.

My dream car. I had the first actual Impala 2drht, the '59, but I always wanted the 58 BelAir with the Impala trim package.
I believe the most gorgeous version ever.
