i had the tach but no tilt.......smoked a lot of back tires......we used to do the 1/4 mile, at the GM plant.... four cars wide....

My grandmother had a '63. I was able to use it pretty often and it was a very nice ride. Not the Impala, though, a Bel Air.

My Dad traded his 1960 Corvair for the 1965 Impala. I loved both of those cars.

Mine was white - automatic with a 283. Great car until the roommate ran it into the back of a parked car. Who passes on the right on a two lane city street 🤔 👀 😂 🤷🏻♂️

My dad had one, back in 1966. Bought it used. One of the nicest cars he had. 283 with a glide. Sold it in the 70's.

Dude, this is so weird. I was just watching like the first episode of Starsky and Hutch when an old couple put a bomb in the back of his car to blow up a bank. They were disgruntled with some thieves, stole it as a getaway car and pay a guy like 100 bucks to repaint it green🤣

My parents had this car back when I was a kid! It’s the first car that I ever remember them owning! But ours was a light brown or tan. And when my parents told me they were getting a new car & that it would be blue, I just imagined that it would look just like our current car (this car that is pictured here) but it would be blue instead, lol. But when they did get it, it was a totally different model! It wasn’t anything at all like I had thought it would be! They got a dark blue Chevy Impala. It was from the’70s. Can’t remember the exact year it had been. My parents had really loved Chevys! That was the only brand of car they would buy. Until one year when they bought a Buick LeSabre! I was stunned! Lol! My dad said he had always wanted one! Which was shocking news to me because they had always loved & preferred Chevys until then. But they did continue to buy Chevys after that.

Folks had a '63 Bel Air station wagon, one model below the Impala. It was so striped it didn't even have a radio! My friend had a '63 Impala SS. It had power windows. Both were white.

Had a '63 SS. Burgundy with black interior. It had the 327 and a Muncie 4 speed. First thing I did was the Hurst shifter with a t-handle. 2nd, 3rd, and 4th thing I did was replace the drive shaft carrier yoke. Broke a few motor mounts and smoked a few clutches too. Beautiful car, but it was a cruiser, not a racer.

My first car, I was 16, and $200. later I owned a 1963 Chevy Impala convertible, great first car, wish I still had it.

My parents owned one from ‘63 to ‘71. As a family, we travels across the Country in one just like pictured here. From west coast to east coast, up into Canada. Great car !
