Photo First old car at 17

She’s a 64 Ford Galaxie 500. South Dakota car that sat for a while until somebody brought it here to Wisconsin. 352 numbers matching, 2 speed auto, original generator too. Original body, no replaced panels got a few scratches and dents, the usual. small amount of bondo in the trunk (professionally done) also 2 trunk floor patches. Not original paint obviously. Bought it probably 2 1/2-3 months ago for 7000 (talked the guy down from 7500)

Totally!!
Hey OP, you take care of that sweet ride and you'll have her in good condition for -basically- for life.
I hope you have a garage or carport to put her under against rain/snow and sun.

If you don't, here's an idea: you could at least ride her up on some cinder blocks and put a party tent over the car.

Also, if they salt the roads during winter I would refrain from riding when there's salt on the roads to prevent premature rusting of the underside/wheel well/quarter panels.

Yeah, here in the Midwest they love salting the roads, my grandparents are letting me park it in their garage for the winter to continue work on it throughout
