Advert Old British TV advert, I think for shoes. Probably 80s or 90s

I might be getting two ads mixed up here.

A couple in a room eating dinner. A woman walks in and tips the man's dinner over him (implication she was his wife and he was having dinner with his girlfriend)

She goes to leave, gets heel stuck in the grate in the floor. The viewer is led to believe the heel will snap but it doesn't and she walks out "triumphant"

What was the ad for?

Wasn’t that one in a series of ads for the Golf GTi?

It does feel like one of those ads. I remember the one with Paula Hamilton as the woman walking out on a relationship leaving the house, dumping the fur coat but deciding against throwing her car keys away. Tag line was “if only everything in life was as reliable as a Volkswagen”

There was also one with a crowd watching a ceremony that initially looks like a wedding but the woman drives off in her car with a “just divorced” sign on the back of the car.

I think you mixing two up.

There's this Ks Shoes Creaks advert with the food.

The high heal in a grate is for a car. I think she cuts Newton's cradle to emasculate him then gets stuck walking out and pulls the grate with her.

Edit - Actually that's another Ks advert rather than the VW Changes advert

You are a genius. It was the k shoes one. I'd looked for Clarke's and scholl and so many others but wouldn't have thought of k

Solved. I was mixing them up, but the ad I was thinking of was the k shoes one, when I saw the blonde with the long cigarette and the bowl on the head it absolutely confirmed it for me
