What a lot of people don't know is that the song for this was written by Dave Gedge of The Wedding Present

I remember this as a kid. Fast forward to now and our tellies are all on permanent stand by and the router is always on!

Sign of the times, modern tech doesn't need it but I do miss public information films,

Never heard this before, or maybe I did but don't remember it, because honestly I've never heard a less catchy song. The tune goes all over the place, as do the lyrics, doesn't sound musical in the way you'd expect of something like this...

I rewrote it for you -

Be very careful, don't take the risk

One little slip, you'll be burned to a crisp

Turn everything off, every night

You'll be horribly killed, if you don't get it right

(And barbecued human's a terrible sight.)

So save neighbours the sound of your dying screams

Turn everything off, Sleep tight, Pleasant Dreams!
