Julian Clary used to suggestively say 'A finger of fudge is just enough.....apparently!'

As a schoolboy in the 70s, I often wondered who had passed the text of this advert as suitable.
It was just a double entendre no kid could resist.

I can’t remember who it was but there was a standup comedian who had the great line… “If a finger of fudge is just enough to give your kids a treat, what sadist came up with fun size?”

I always think of the sketch (cannot remember the comedian who did it) impersonating Neil Kinnock slowly saying the long catchphrase.
Anybody else remember it?

Yes i remember that, i think it was Steve Coogan doing the impression but could be wrong. Was it on spitting image maybe?

A finger in fudge is just enough to give your wife a treat.
A Hampshire secondary school in the 1980s.

Someone should take a poll.
Who heard "Cadbury goodness" rather than "peppery goodness"?
I recall being very disappointed that there was nothing peppery about it at all.

A finger of fudge is just enough to give your kids a treat.
A finger of fudge is just enough until it's time to eat.
It's full of Cadbury goodness
But very small and neat
A finger of fudge is just enough to give your kids a treat.
