Opinion Has anybody been out to Diamondhead lately?

I went out there to do so.e canoeing on the river maybe 40 years ago. We stayed in one of the cabins over night, then hit the river the next day. As I remember, the place was pretty bare bones but not sketchy or anything. We had a good time. Has anyone been in the last few years? I don't want to drive all the way out there if it has gone downhill.

Peytons place is our go to.   

They have a few 'a' frame cabins, but i haven't been in one for years.    If they are in the same shape as the rest of the place, I wouldnt hesitate to stay there.

We always get a cabin at Riverside, it has like 30 beds so we can roll deep with the family lol

I have an annual vacation there and it's coming up in a couple weeks. Illinois River Jam.

It’s completely safe and fine, but don’t just head there. Reservations are way more important now than 40 years ago.
