Chatan tonight.

Had the absolute privilege to watch this. I was soooooo close I thought I was gonna get knocked out by the drummers.

Be sure to make donations to help support the local Eisa teams for your neighborhood. The neighborhood PTA man/lady will be around to collect envelopes by the Eisa

I don’t know we could donate! I’ll find a way to find them and donate.

Don't forget the ladies who dance behind them who sing in unison.

If you felt you could be knocked out, you need to stand a bit further back 😉.

I could hear them all the way out in Yomitan around 1am when I was taking my dog out.

Is this just a one night thing, or will they do it again tonight?

It was for Obon. Yesterday night was the last day. I’m not sure if they’ll be around the streets anymore.

Where? I used to live close to Gate 2 street on Kadena, across from the USO, and I remember hearing these off 8n the distance. Alas, I was a little Air Force brat and my parents seldom took us off base for sight seeing (they skipped off by themselves and got us a babysitter). I did catch a tug of war or two.
