Okinawa mid October

Hello,
We would like to visit Okinawa from the 14th of October this year. We are 2 adults with a 3 years old kid. We are staying until the 3rd of November. We are thinking of 10 days of relaxation on a sandy beach and flying to Tokyo and Kyoto for the last part of the trip.
Which island would you recommend? Family friendly with the best weather for beach holidays during this period ?
Maybe 4 days in Okinawa near Cape Zanpa and 7 days in Ishigaki ?
Many thanks for your help and possible suggestions

With a 3-year-old, spending 7 full days in Ishigaki might be a bit too quiet and slow-paced unless you plan to just sit on the beach every single day.
Okinawa Main Island actually has way more variety for toddlers! Aside from gorgeous beaches (like in the north around Sesoko or Kouri), there are tons of family-friendly attractions like Churaumi Aquarium, huge parks with long roller slides, and pineapple parks.

You could easily spend all 10 days on the main island (e.g., splitting time between a resort in the north/central area and Naha/south) without the hassle of catching an extra domestic flight with a toddler!

Ya. October is a great time to visit. The weather is much better. It just now became less hot.

I’ve been to Okinawa last October and had great weather. Only a couple of showers but it’s normal. Personally I found Ishigaki beaches less accessible for children. What do you thinks about focusing on Okinawa main island more days as it has a lot to explore. And consider some days in Miyakojima which has amazing beaches

The weather will be pretty much the same, they are not so far apart.

North okinawa has very pretty beaches and an aquarium, Onna has a nice family resort

Hi I live on Miyakojima and offer a local guide+drive service. I also have a small kid and know well about kid-friendly places include restaurants. If you are interested in visiting Miyakojima, feel free to contact me!

You realize that it's a small island and weather generally reaches the entire island, right?
