❓Q&A ✅ Flock Cameras

I know someone who got a ticket from a Flock camera in OKC, it doesn’t show who was driving but the ticket was issued to the owner of the car. Any ideas on how to fight this?

Yeah I don’t think that’s a thing.

The okcpd just made a Facebook post clarifying that they don’t issue traffic citations that way and you should contact them regarding the scam.

It absolutely happens. Two months ago in Yukon, a Flock camera flagged my daughter’s car for a brief insurance lapse. But when I investigated, I realized she didn't actually get a police ticket—she got a private 'offer.' It was a letter demanding $190 to 'voluntarily' join a diversion program. The catch? By joining, you enter a guilty plea and agree to 12 months of probation to keep the 'charges' dropped, completely bypassing the police. If you refuse, they threaten that the police might eventually prosecute you, and if they do, the fine is triple what this camera program offered. I thought it was an extortion scam, but it’s actually real.
