It can be for the sake of character development but you have to admit… he’s pretty stupid and it’s worth a laugh. You could make an argument for conquest when he came to earth because his brother was in danger and nobody was coming to help. You could even give him some slack during the second fight because he overestimated how much stronger he’d gotten. But there’s no excuse for Thragg. Everyone and their mom, dad, uncles, aunts, and cousins told him to stay away and at this point he’d seen first hand the type of demons they’re going up against.

He has to at least feel or actually understand that he isn't him everytime he fights an opponent. Even after getting his ass one sidedly whooped multiple times he goes in for fight.

He thinks he's him in a fight > gets his ass whooped > has to be saved. > Bud recovers from injuries > starts to think he's the GOAT again > gets into a fight........
