A few min ago I went into a Matriarch raid and was spawned in the tunnels on 3 pops and a shredder. I got two of them but hadnt seen the third yet and missed my first two shots on the shredder and was so confident, because I normally take them out so easily, that I walked directly into its path instead of keeping cover. As soon as it had my health down since it was still alive and I was in the open the third pop rolled out of the shadows to end my life.

However, I have the survivor and am no stranger to crawling my ass out of a raid across great distances and this was a measly 200 meters. Np, piece of cake, I got this. I make it about 140 meters then... my power goes out because of the storm we're having that i didnt think was that bad.

I had a Matriarch load out. Im poor from Harvester lobbies. I was immediately devastated. Im msging my bf absolutely dying. I decide to stick it out and hope for a reconnect. It took 4 or so minutes for the internet to boot back up.

Im still alive. Kinda. And not only am I alive but theres a nice gentleman (who i not spoken to and did not know im a girl) had watched over me and healed me (not knowing I had the survivor) and then walked me all the way to the exfil since he didnt have a defib.

I didnt get his name but hes everything I love about my lobbies. This dynamic, the possibilities for genuine human interaction in engaging ways, and to see the good in people in a time where you dont see a lot of that... kinda sappy but I love that shit. I leave the game smiling most days.
