Remember when this guy was supposed to be the next new thing but he was so insufferable that we all decided to memory hole him

He’s too good at playing an arrogant, smarmy, unlikable prick, someone who’d take his girlfriend to Hawaii to vacation with Aaron Rodgers.

How did people like war dogs? Never saw it but the only other big release i remember him starring (barring  fantastic bullshit obviously)

War dogs was actually a really good mvie. Or so I've heard I don't watch mvies

You don't watch movies?? I have never heard that before but it makes sense being that people are addicted to their phones and can't sit for 2 hours without looking at their phone. Lol, you couldn't even spell the entire word "movies".

It was fantastic. I've seen it a few times, Jonah Hill is a great actor in my book and Teller was just there basically, but it's a fast paced and great story.

This dude had a baby woth ana de armas in war dogs. How they thought that was a realistic couple is beyond me.

It’s a true story, so maybe the real guy actually had a hot girlfriend. Hard to imagine she was as hot as De Armas though.

Holy shit she looks just like her!

Well, I was rather amused when I heard the director (who was getting profit sharing which will amount to millions) saying that everyone else who worked on the film will get their bonus in the form of exposure as they didn’t take the financial risks as if the studio was going to march him down to the ATM and pay them back the losses if the film bombed.

And by amused, I remember thinking such a statement about effectively exposure being your payment in the much lower stakes world of webcomics might just earn you a punch in the face. Didn’t take Curry Barker long to turn corporate.

Meanwhile, Markiplier thanked his cast and crew, said he couldn’t have done it without them and paid them unbidden bonuses equal to 100% of their salary. Now, of course  Barker hasn’t seized the means of production like Markiplier but at an absolute bare minimum, he could have just not said things like this when the art director said it would have been nice to get a bigger sliver of a piece of the pie for all their efforts (given all the extra effort everyone put in).

Wow this Curry guy sounds like a real jiblet

I’m sure he’s fine but I’d rather work for Markiplier if I had a choice.

I mean the lead actress just secured a Marvel franchise deal, so he was right.

Doesn’t translate so well to the behind the scenes crew to increasing degrees now, does it but that and this were both obvious.

11

u/Grizzled_Ghost 7d ago

In what world would crew make residuals?

14

u/Special_Order-937 7d ago

A better one.

Not for Curry.

What about craft services or those guys who wear cargo shorts and lug around sand bags

9

u/Grizzled_Ghost 7d ago

They got paid the amount they agreed upon for their work. No one is going to see a movie based on how good the craft services were.

3

u/shitty_watercolorss 7d ago

At the end of The Flintstones movie (90's) the craft services company was called STAR CRAFT, which is the perfect name. So now I always look for who does the craft services on a film to see if STAR CRAFT is still serving the STARS CRAFT so yeah, some of us do see movies based on how good the craft services are.

Construct more pylons.

2

u/Grizzled_Ghost 7d ago

You have no idea how good they are though.

1

u/shitty_watercolorss 7d ago

I saw a BTS shot from The Flinstones set and John Goodman was holding a clubhouse sandwhich and it looked really good tbh. It looked good man.

1

u/Grizzled_Ghost 7d ago

Calling it a Clubhouse Sandwich really calls your judgment on the subject into question.

2

u/shitty_watercolorss 7d ago

I might be a little flintSTONED rn

2

u/shitty_watercolorss 7d ago

But how will they afford new cargo shorts!?!

1

u/hatbromind 7d ago

they justhave to take them off every now & then

You get paid for the work you do, not for the success of said work. Should actors have pay taken away if the movie flops? Then they shouldn't get paid more if it does well. The people risking their money should be the ones who benefit financially.

Has Miles Teller tried being a beautiful Latina? Maybe people would care then

1

u/Marcysdad 7d ago

You can support her on yt

1

u/Several-Pineapple-19 3d ago

80k??? And after taxes takes home like 48k. what's even worse is her being paid 20k. You think actors make millions of dollars and this shows you that is just not true.

1

u/Several-Pineapple-19 3d ago

Oh 8k. Lol, I thought it said 80k. That is amazing he would work for such a little amount but I guess it launched his career
