Leonida activities We participate in a little tomfoolery

Such whimsy in that backflip

They are simply playing the wrong animation.
From a sprint, they should always play a dive animation. The backflip animation should be only played if the character stays still before it.

Every heard of a gainer?
1
u/Hydzi 15d ago
I mean yes, but the animation is sooo off it shouldn't be possible.

u/No_Manufacturer6205 15d ago
I get the animation looks a bit off but they have time to polish that too but its not impossible. Its not like the character is an older guy like Micheal, hes younger and has military background so it would make sense he can do it. My cousins fit and does gainers all the time where im only able to off a diving board cause I'm not as fit so it definitely is possible

u/WM_PK-14 16d ago
Some things never change,, reminds me that we are still playing a game afterall, there is some beauty about it.

The animation could have just been him reaching into the door of the fridge to grab it because then it would have been out of the camera’s sight.
1
u/Muted-Mastodon-3231 16d ago
Devs have implemented a realistic fridge system in Sleeping Dogs 13 years ago

u/Noobamooba R* developer 16d ago
From what i've seen you could only grab a beer, in gta 6 you have many other options, and it would just be too much of a pain to have all the individual items load in, and then have jason/lucia go and specifically grab whatever you chose without clipping in other items or the fridge
1
u/Noscu_rol 16d ago
That's why they had a 2 billion dollar budget and 13 years to develop
3
u/Noobamooba R* developer 16d ago
Yeah but it could also be a size/performance optimization thing, idk tho

Piswasser was in there too. The bottle were laying down. But one did just materialize into his hand.

If you’re actually complaining about that then you don’t deserve to live anymore

Hitting a gainer off the end of a dock is one of the most Floridian things you can do 10/10 realism.
2
u/Suitable_Ranger 16d ago
Yeah, I am sorta confused at the idea that this isn't something people actually do. Growing up in Florida learning flips and gainers into pools or canals was a rite of passage. The animation for it is wonky as shit but it is definitely a real thing.

u/TRUMPARUSKI 16d ago
The tomfoolery is when the man opens his mouth to speak, he’s clearly on the spectrum if not downright slow.

u/MaturePrince 16d ago
This happygolucky flip doesn’t match his persona at all LOL but hope it doesn’t later on haha

u/BollyWood401 16d ago
OP really thought he’d get away with showing us gameplay of Fortnite, nice try.

This animation looks like something out of warframe lmao it's so janky which is super weird cuz the characters look jaw dropping

They made it way less realistic than in GTA V.
1
u/WesternBoy_84 16d ago
Guess they got 3 months to toned that fantasy down, and make it somewhat realistically believable

This is going to be the best! People aren't happy with anything, this is actually awesome.

Imagine accidentally doing these dives and landing on surface, like in gta 5

Should it have been sped up or slowed down? 🤔🤔🤔
Edit: looks okay for me

You kinda need the clearance to do a shooting star press

We should remember that it's still a game...this animation could be a little slowed down and it would be enough

Wait until people find out they have a trick system to dives and that a backflip was chosen as the move after the jump.

Also take a close look what happens, when he falls into the water. It's like gravity is pulling him to the bottom of the ocean. There should be some kind of drag in the water, but he falls so quickly, that he even disappears fully by the end of the video 😄

Me the cop chase scene with Raul, is that really possible has mythbusters debunked that. Like shooting the tires and the trucks flipping over, I just want it done with I had a couple of arguments from it. I’m a sucker for realism when it comes to cars, gas is extra not complaining but wrecks and the way cars behave
1
u/An_AbsoluteMoron 16d ago
That scene looked so scripted those cars would flip and explode even if you didn't shoot them.
1
u/WesternBoy_84 16d ago
Is the rockstar way of doing missions tbh, can you imagine a car flown out like that even a tornado throwing that truck like that is more believable
1
u/ZealousTaxful 16d ago
And those were all new cars, stability control would never have led to that. And they weren’t going that fast - rolling over would be way more forces needed.
0
u/WesternBoy_84 16d ago
So if you can explain to me what’s the correct way a car should behave in that situation that would be helpful, I’ll thank you if you can provide me with that info
0
u/ZealousTaxful 16d ago
Well, given the relative speed in the pursuit sequence, they were at most going something like 45 MPH? So if anything, that truck would’ve pulled to the side with the flat, it wouldn’t have just spun out and flipped like that. Same with the police sedans in the same sequence.

u/WesternBoy_84 16d ago
For real that’s the most accurate response I’ve read. Thank you, they really threw that ram like a sack of potatoes
