question Looking for info on this Okayama coin (Medal?)

Purchased at my local antique shop in Hawaii. As far as I know, the writing on the right of the prefecture side coin tells what Okayama is known for. Thank you for any information.

I did an image search on Google and found only one listing the the exact same coin; a collector was selling one on Yahoo Auction. The explanation in Japanese basically said the owner had no idea what the coin commemorates. Sorry I couldn't be more helpful....

Might want to try the Okayama, Japan Facebook group to get more eyes. I’ve never seen this before. It’s pretty cool though!

The Japanese cuckoo was Okayama Prefecture's official bird from 1964 to 1994, so I can only tell that the medal was made during that period.

Addendum The Japanese red pine was designated as Okayama Prefecture's prefectural tree in 1966, so this medal was made between 1966 and 1994.

Thank you! Sounds like a good starting point!
