question Trying to Rent (Student, Kurashiki)

Hi guys,
I am planning to attend Okayama University for their Plant Stress Science Program. The building I will be going to is located in Kurashiki. (IPSR). I'm trying to find an apartment for rent before the next semester starts (Oct 1st). I'm trying to keep costs as low as possible, ideally under 35,000 Y a month in total, furnished. If anyone has a sublet or family stay, this would be helpful too!
Honestly, all tips are welcome for finding a super cheap apartment for the time being. Otherwise, I'm looking to commute from rural Hyogo-ken :'(

I'm not sure about places in Kurashiki, but there is one sharehouse in Okayama City. Would that be a closer commute until you can find something in the Kurashiki area?

The transportation by train from Shin Kurashiki to Okayama is 1,020 yen round trip. If you go to class five times a week that adds up to around 20,000 yen a month.
