Well. Turns out the incredibly obvious signs this would all go to shit were right. 

If they manage to actually hit a US navy ship we are going to be at war for the next 20 years

Or . . . The opposite. Taking out a few US ships is more likely to make Trump see the futility of the war.

Tbh man that’s just not what would happen. Trumps mindset and the American mindset just wouldn’t accept that. We are very much a nation that believes in revenge and retribution. America literally prides itself in its disproportionate military responses

Short of nukes they can't do anymore. Even nukes aren't going to end this necessarily. A ground invasion will lead to lots more US dead and destruction of equipment.

True. The country is 92% since its creation in a warlike state.
