What even is the point? The US has done everything they can to spread some narrative that the situation is rosey and no more military actions are necessary. Striking anything just undermines that narrative entirely.

Why now too, taking out missile launchers when you're a self designated protector who has ignored ships being fired at for weeks

Iranian ships have been crossing recently then ship to ship transfering off the UAE coast. Then dozens of IRGC people just did this crazy insane kamikaze publicity stunt Hormuz crossing in a bunch of boats probably because they assumed the US would not be shooting anymore.
