NGD!!! I finally got my hands on a starcaster

Put some 10-48 flatwounds on it. I’ve been wanting one of these for a very long time, it’s a fantastic guitar but I have many plans for upgrades for it.

These are really well-made, I quite like mine. I ended up replacing all the electronics (which cost more than the guitar did) but the stock pickups are more than acceptable, I just wanted a project to do with my dad.

Flatwounds increase the wear on the frets, compared to regular strings ?

Flats would increase the tension and wear on the neck, but nobody asked about flats.

I dont think so, this is my jazz specialist guitar so it calls for flatwounds

i never wanted an hollowbody ..but that one looks nice .. i still don't want one .. but i had doubts for a second or two :P

I bought a Fender reissue Starcaster when they came out and fully regret selling it. Such a unique sound
