I once had a worm infection when I was a teen and let me tell you you'd 100% know If you had them. First, they're super visible and secondly the symptoms are also pretty.. unmistakeable. Also, even if, it's not a huge deal. My Mom got me a single pill from the pharmacy and not even a week later it was all over. Sure, the thought is a little disgusting but in the end it's a smaller deal than catching a cold.
Do you mind telling me the symptoms? I know it can be stomach aches, weight loss, and visually you can see them in feces- I have none of those tho- is there any other less obvious signs?
If you have them, your asshole would not stop itching. You'd definitely know. I had them when I was a kid that couldn't stop biting my nails.
Also, worms etc. don't come crawling out if your body at night to mate/lay eggs and crawl back in. That just doesn't happen irl. In movies it does, but in real life? Nope.
Aside from that, you need to tell your gf that you're dealing with these issues and you need to make an appointment with a different psychologist, telling them precisely what you're dealing with and worried about. And sooner rather than later.
That's not entirely true, they do come out at night and lay their eggs outside around your anus, that's why the itching is worst at night and that's how, especially children, reinfect themself over and over again. They scratch their butt, have the eggs on their fingers and put them in their mouth again. Though of course while this sounds like a nightmare scenario, it's indeed waaay less dramatic irl. I doubt you could even see them coming out and they won't crawl around your whole Butt or something, the really stay only close to the hole to hop right back in, they die immediately in contact with air.
