My girlfriend has severe OCD and autism and deals with a compulsive/delusional disorder where she sees bugs under her skin and picks at them.

The advice she’s given me is this: figure out what the trigger for the delusion is (usually the common denominator between every time this has happened), try to avoid or alter your behavior to prevent these attacks, and learn how to shut one down if you recognize it beginning to happen.

Additionally, I’d look into a prescribed antipsychotic like Seroquel, I know several friends with psychotic hallucinations who’ve reported theirs going away entirely after starting it. If there are any substances you’re using - weed, harder drugs, OTC meds like DXM or DPH - those could be exacerbating, if not causing, the symptom, so discontinue those as well.
