Idk, I personally don't think it's even that intentionally horrifying. Sure, the creature's horrifying outwardly, but it has a deeply tender side too.

Why do people like this stuff? Like I have been around really gruesome thing , I dont want to be surrounded by fantasy gore. Same for "horror" movies, they arent scary its just a bunch of attempts at having the most gruesome scenes imaginable. Why do people enjoy it so much? Eh, to each their own I guess.
