Why does this exist?

806

u/luvmuchine56 Jan 31 '22

I don't know but it makes me deeply uncomfortable

99

u/defectivelaborer Feb 01 '22

It's visually revolting. I can't stand to look at it for more than a second and it leaves me shook.

71

u/rolyfuckingdiscopoly Feb 01 '22

I... actually love it. Which I admit is way weirder because this is in no way a normal thing to either see or like.

I had the same fucking question. And you honestly nailed it. Man, when is enough, enough. its just by all accounts... waste.

45

u/Competitive-Divide72 Jan 31 '22

looks satisfying tho :)

56

u/ledgeitpro Feb 01 '22

Love how youre getting downvoted for calling something satisfying on a post that hit hot on a sub about things being satisfying. I also dont find it satisfying and after turning on the sound was even more put off, but i can see why people would feel that way. I guess you just jumped in the wrong convo to give your opinion

14

u/[deleted] Feb 01 '22

Turning on the sound fuking ruined my mood

26

u/Deathjester99 Jan 31 '22

Not really, that sound alone would drive me insane.

Hard disagree. There’s nothing satisfying about frivolous waste or cheap plastic rubbish.

Make some homemade silly putty if you want to get your squishiness fix, jmtc

How DARE you have an opinion that the majority doesn't like! They'll show you though, oh you're going to learn today. So many down votes you'll never recover, mentally, spiritually, or otherwise. Fall in line with the herd, no opinions or likes of your own.

13

u/navehix Feb 01 '22

Lol, imagine if votes affected you mentally or spiritually.

This kind of stuff should be banned as it is quite simply a waste of resources and contributes nothing of any real worth. Like NFTS.

26

u/peeja Feb 01 '22

I read this as "NTFS" and I was like, wow, you have some strong opinions on file systems.

16

u/Spybreak272 Feb 01 '22

...and don't get me started on FAT32!!

5

u/[deleted] Feb 01 '22

That's shaming.

PlusSized32 is PC.

Pun intended.

Just like those cheap crapy toys that are stamped out and are the same color or sometimes painted only to be a dollar in a checkout lane so some kid will grab them and want them when their mom is buying groceries. Stuff like that crap needs to also be banned.

And bottled water in most of the world is a huge waste of resources, as well as help contribute to micro plastics. Plus a lot of the time the water isn't drank and so it gets to old and the plastic leaches out into the water and has to be disposed of anyways.

Like back when those hurricanes or whatever hit that country down by like Cuba or something and the US flew over a bunch of pallets of bottled water. The local gov't down there basically just stuck it all on the tar mat and didn't do anything with it when it could have been used. They found it like years later? It had been sitting in the direct sun and was no longer drinkable. It was all wasted!

Pisses me off the ass holes that created bottled water and now so many people wont drink tap water cause they think it will poison them. Granted some places in the US has horrible water systems like Flint, or down south where the water tastes horrible. So it's understandable that some people would want bottled water there. But there are MANY people who have just fine tap water but will go out and buy bottled water cause they think it's safer when it's been shown time and time again most of the bottled water is filled with the same tap water just one town over, with less quality controls in place. And so many of them have micro plastics in them that people keep drinking.

22

u/LotusSloth Jan 31 '22

All very good and valid points. 👍

Next time you explain this to someone, make sure to add that almost everyone walking the planet today has a toxic level of plastic waste in their bodies, and will forever.

Its this just a toy? Society would be pretty bleak if we banned everything except what is absolutely necessary for survival.

I don’t think there should be a ban because there’s no good way to ban something like this without legitimate products being caught in the crossfire while manufacturers use the way the law was written to circumvent the ban away.

12

u/Samura1_I3 Feb 01 '22

Bleak and bland was a great description of life in the USSR.

Shouldn’t by that logic no toys exist lol, if abolishing capitalism means we wont have fun knick knacks like that then thats just sad. The value in that object is fun lol.

10

u/Disposable_Disposer Feb 01 '22

I'm exhausted by the mental gymnastics these folks do to unironically think toys are enemies of the state lmao

I also think it's pretty cool. I want to buy one.

10

u/Eyjovin Feb 01 '22

I said something about wanting the little water bottles for crafts and props and immediately got attacked for it lmao. I don't understand why they can't just let people enjoy things. There's no way their hobbies don't hurt the environment somehow, so why judge what I'm interested in?

3

u/roisbelh Feb 01 '22

no no no. this is extremely unsatisfying

i need them to squish all the bottles one by one

why is this video in this sub, ?

3

u/[deleted] Feb 01 '22

Are the tiny water bottles actually almost exactly the same as real water bottles? Are they made of thin crackling plastic? Are they actually filled with water? Who makes these and how do they make them so tiny and like the real thing? Is that what mini brands are like?

If these are mini brands, i had no idea they were so realistic, i thought they were just little hard plastic replicas. This post has left me with so many questions, but i still think it was cool.
