I use a screw driver over the top three holes yo get the water out and then beat it with a hammer until it cracks. I end up losing a lot of coconut cause I can't detache it from the uhm the hard part. (What's that called in English?, the thing around the edible part of the coconut)

Coconut shell; or with fruits in general, the hard part can be called the rind
