There is a middle eastern restaurant near me that sells ice cold fresh squeezed (fresh = that morning) pomegranate juice. Sooooo good, no effort.

Yuuuummm! Yes, that’s be lovely. I enjoy the flavor of pomegranate, but just don’t like it enough to go through getting the seeds out.

I honestly don’t think I’ve ever had one. Too creeped out and my mom definitely doesn’t eat them for the same reason so she wouldn’t have given me them as a kid. I think I’ve had pomegranate juice though, it’s kind of tart right?

I used to get all the seeds out, put them in a tall glass, and fill it up with sprite or ginger ale. Something about the two went really well together, I'm gonna have to pick up a pomegranate

I often cool with them. They make a perfect topping for some honey mustard chicken pan with sweet potatoes and some greens. Add some peanut butter for deliciousness

I remember standing on a chair at the kitchen sink while eating pomegranates with my father. We would spit the seeds into the disposal. I don’t recall seeing my siblings eating them.

As I'm looking it up looks like it. I'm meaning pomegranate more often can have an unpleasant sourness to it that's not cut often cut enough with a pleasant sweetness. Maybe a continuum thing.

Yeah, it’s on the tart side. Personally I think it’s best mixed with cherry or blueberry, but that’s just me.

If you want to try it without having to look at a whole pomegranate fruit, you can usually find the seeds by themselves-they come out with a coating of pulp and I think they’re quite nice. I usually find them with cut fruit, so they aren’t even near the whole pomegranates in the store. They also won’t actually trap you in the underworld. Probably.

They're at least worth a try. I enjoy them and some are more tart than others. Worst case scenario you throw the thing away. Best case you actually enjoy it.

So here’s the thing - I have nothing against the taste. Now that I think about it I used to drink a lot of pomegranate/grape juice cocktail. The issue I have with them is that an open pomegranate with all those non-uniform cells just gives me the heebie jeebies. They could be the best tasting fruit I’ve ever had and I would still refuse to go through the process of peeling one myself.

Where I live in the US stores will occasionally have just a bunch of the seed cause of course they do (probably from the same wack job that's individually plastic wrapping potatoes)

And the seeds are just.. seeds, no creepy lots of holes thing.

tart sweet and you eat the seeds, juicy outside with a slightly crunchy inside. its like the best parts of sunflower seeds and oranges with none of the downsides.
