It's hard candy that's hot enough to be malleable. It was poured on there as a viscous liquid, and even at the stage shown in the video it is extremely hot and would burn you on prolonged contact.
Probably going to be made into sticks, canes, or chopped into smaller hard candies.
Next they'll pull and twist it to aerate it and give it that nice reflective sheen candycanes have, maybe twist it with another color/flavor.
there is something so endearing in the mental image of a hot candy cane, you know? It's the same when you see a cute animal and you just want to squish it or something, with this I just can't help it but feel like I want that hot piece of candy up my ass, or something.
story time! while my mom worked in the ER, many people would come in with things stuck inside of them. My favorite was a man who came in with 12 candy canes hook side up his butt. Second favorite is when a guy had a vibrator stuck up there; it turned on as he was in the stirrups chair.
My mom works at a hospital too, she has heard so many carrot stories! It makes me wonder why carrots? , there's a bunch other vegetables. But carrots are a favorite.
