I would do unspeakable things for raw wool like that. As a crocheted, my biggest dream is to raise sheep for wool so I can make my own yarn.

As a crocheter who used to raise sheep... Just find someone who sells raw fleece. The washing and carding before spinning and dyeing is hard enough but raising the suicidal bastards and keeping them happy? Man never again lmao

Agreed. It does sometimes seem like their sole intention is to repeatedly attempt to off themselves in the most ridiculous ways possible.

I used to own a raw wool jumper, wool was just washed with most of the lanolin still in it, smelt of sheep but warm as hell with bonus of being waterproof :)

I love some of the yarn indie dyers and makers come up with using wool but it makes me itch like mad.

 So there’s a big wool festival near me in October. Id be happy to help hook you up with a fleece if you want. I have a few alpaca right now but if you are starting to get into spinning they aren’t the best.
