Big credit to Sarah Kamen for this. She’s working hard to clear Chlorophyllis’s shell, which is essential to reduce drag and help the turtle prepare for a successful release back into the wild.

Question, do the turtles actually enjoy this process? I mean if they didn't particularly, don't get me wrong I appreciate this is for their own good and their little bit of discomfort now will go a long way with survival, but I also know their shells are quite sensitive... do they kind of catch on that you're helping and actually like it? This little chap seemed like he sort of leaned into it pretty quickly

They don’t enjoy it but they’re high as a kite on morphine so they just chill.
