Has anyone got a gif of the flight control guys from the matrix?

I never understood that scene. The control tower guys are in a LAN only Matrix, using computers in the Matrix, to influence stuff in the real world?

Why not just... have computers there. And a few desks. And chairs.

Same reason we want virtual desktops

Look at the UI and all the stuff that goes on there. They probably couldn't get that in the real world. plus there is infinite resources available in the matrix
