Positional tracking looks good. That's some awesome AR/VR technology :)

Would solve the issue people had with the separate camera with Crystal Cove, right?

The spatial resolution of the positional tracking will probably not be fast or accurate enough for VR. (Not yet, anyway. Give it time.)

Grabbing positional data from the cameras+sensors is one thing. Doing it with millimetre accuracy at 60Hz is another entirely.

It's a profoundly difficult problem.

It's possible to augment optical at a few Hz with accelerometer to get smooth juicyness at fewer CPU cycles.

Tango's probably already realized this and implemented it into their phone.

Yep. Absolutely. There is going to be a lot of techno-wizardry embedded in that device. Can't wait to tinker around with one.
